This years show proved to be another amazing event with a €165,000 prize fund, 650 trade & machinery stands and 1000 show classes, it certainly had something for everyone. The newly launched ‘Meat Village’, also delivered on its promise to enhance the already packed programme for the show this year. Pictured below Paul Nolan, Group Development Manager - Dawn Meats in front of the Bord Bia cookery stand and the Dawn Meats Stand at the newly launched 'Meat Village'.
The Dawn Meats stand proved very popular throughout the day with nearly 500 people entering the carcase grading competition. The winner will be announced shortly. Dawn Meats also held a tasting competition on the main stage which saw the heifer beef reign supreme in both tasting sessions. Dawn Meats also sponsored the Factory Heifer Championship which was won by Messrs Victor & Clive Barnett, Raphoe, Co Donegal with a Belgian Blue x heifer.
